Dr. Macias is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine. He is a graduate of the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training in pediatrics at the LAC-USC Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Macias was a staff pediatrician for the San Luis Medical Clinic and Family Care Center Pediatrics prior to becoming a founding partner with Dr. Dale Rowland at Central Coast Pediatrics Inc. in 1990. He has served as a member of the governing board at French Hospital, and section chair of Pediatrics. Dr. Macias was also past Chief of Staff at General Hospital. He is an active member of the Medical staffs at French Hospital Medical Center, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.
Dr. Macias enjoys traveling with his wife Yvonne and spending time with their two young adult sons. In addition, Dr. Macias has international medical experience having been involved in programs in Mexico and Haiti. Presently, he is also on the advisory board of AMISTAD International, a non-profit foundation that provides humanitarian aid throughout the world.
Dale Rowland, MD
Dr. Rowland is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine and board eligible in pediatric cardiology. He graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center in pediatric medicine where he was Chief Resident. He completed a neonatal fellowship at Loma Linda Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr Rowland had a successful private practice in Los Osos, Ca for 8 years, was a staff pediatrician for San Luis Medical Clinic as well as Family Care Pediatrics prior to becoming a founding partner at Central Coast Pediatrics Inc. in 1990. He is affiliated with French Hospital Medical Center, Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton. He is currently Chief of Pediatrics at Twin Cities hospital. Dr. Rowland’s long standing support of local hospital practice includes being Chief of Pediatrics at all three area hospitals. He served as the Chief of Medical Staff at French hospital and Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. He was directly involved in developing the neonatal intensive care unit at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center as well.
James D. Coryell, MD
Dr. Coryell is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine. He is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency training at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Coryell developed a successful private practice in Redding, California, during which time he also maintained an appointment as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics for the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, teaching the art and science of pediatrics to Family Practice residency physicians. He served for six years as the chairman of the Ethics Committee for Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Today he is a partner physician at Central Coast Pediatrics which he joined in 2002. He is affiliated with French Hospital Medical Center, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton. He has served full terms as Chairman of the Pediatrics Department at all three facilities. Currently he serves on the board for United Cerebral Palsy of San Luis Obispo. He is devoted to his family and community as part of his work at Central Coast Pediatrics.
Julie Anselmo, MD
Dr. Anselmo is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine. She is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training in pediatrics at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She joined Central Coast Pediatrics in 2004. She is affiliated with French Hospital Medical Center, Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton. Dr. Anselmo is serving as Chief of Pediatrics at French hospital for 2014.
Tamara Battle, MD
Dr. Battle is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Board Certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. She also earned a master's degree in public health at Loma Linda University. She is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric internship and residency training at UCSF-Fresno as well as an Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She is affiliated with French Hospital Medical Center, Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.
Michael McNerney, MD
Dr. McNerney is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in Pediatric medicine. He is a native Californian raised in Southern California. He completed his undergraduate training in Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed Medical School at St. Georges University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He finished his residency in General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in 2000. He spent two years active duty in the US Air Force stationed at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, in Fairfield, California. After that, he spent three years with Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California. He moved to the Central Coast in 2006. Dr. McNerney lives in Paso Robles with his wife Courtney and his two children, Mairin and Dennis.
Kara N. Bryden, MD
Dr. Bryden is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Board Certified in Pediatric Medicine. She couldn't be more thrilled to be practicing Pediatrics on the Central Coast. After completing medical school at the University of Southern California, Pediatric Residency and a Chief Resident year at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Bryden feels incredibly lucky to have been able to move back up north. Developing close relationships with families and watching her patients grow are Dr. Bryden's favorite aspects of being a pediatrician. It is especially rewarding to begin care from the first moments of a child's life. While enjoying all ages, she has a special interest in adolescents, as she feels they truly need an advocate during a time of such rapid physical, social and emotional growth.
